"Building on Our Past...

     Shaping a Successful Future"

Dear AGM Attendees,

Our historic 50th AGM will take us to New York City, the site of our very first AGM back in 1968.  Originally, IISRP was headquartered in the Rockefeller Center, a renown New York City location, before moving to our current location in 1978.

We will celebrate our Golden Anniversary in style from the Opening Welcome Ceremony at the Grand Hyatt to our Farewell Luncheon on Thursday, 14 May.  During these days you will experience the social environment of NYC, one of the most popular cities in the world.

The theme of our meeting is "Building On Our Past... Shaping A Successful Future"  which, of course, builds upon our 50th AGM.  Our Executive Committee, chaired by John Vincent of Firestone Polymers, has come together to produce an outstanding speakers program.  Our "key note address" will be delivered by Mr. Mark Emkes, President and CEO of Bridgestone Americas,Inc., who will talk about future trends in tire technology and the impact on tire grade elastomers.

Other topics include a feedstock overview, NR/SR economics, the current economic climate, energy trends in the decades ahead and specific topics on TPE's and adhesives and sealants.

We are looking forward to one of our most outstanding AGMs ever and your presence will make the event even more memorable.

Welcome to New York City!

James L. McGraw
