"The SR Industry...Sustaining the Future"

Dear AGM Attendee,

We are pleased to invite you to attend our 53rd AGM in Venice Italy, 16-19 April 2012!  If you know anything about Venice you will recall it is a group of picturesque islands and our hotel, Molino Stucky Hilton, is located on Giudecca Island.  It is only accessible by water transportation, like water taxi or waterbus and just like on land, the taxi is more expensive than a bus...

There are a number of ways to travel to Venice via the Marco Polo airport nearby or by train via Milano.  I encourage you to review the Travel tips section under the general information area (www.iisrp.com/agm/generalinfo.htm).  This information is provided by the hotel and  is excellent guidance.

Now to the most important part of our AGM and that is the Speakers Program.  Our 53rd AGM theme is “The SR Industry…Sustaining the Future”.  Thanks to the leadership of our President International Antonio Protopapa of Polimeri Europa, we have engaged an outstanding slate of speakers. The  Program will begin with a Keynote Address by Mr. Francesco Gori, the CEO of Pirelli on Wednesday, 18 April and will be followed by presentations from  Jag Patel of Hexpol, Walter Raminez of Dynasol, and Sim Elman of Synthos.  The Wednesday Program will conclude with an energy overview from Leonardo Maugeri of Harvard.

Thursday’s Program will lead off with a presentation from Boris Mergell of Continental followed by Carlo Torreggiani of Fiat, Bill Hyde of CMAI, Rob Simmons of LMC, Vittorio Maglia of Italian Federation of the Chemical Industry and will conclude with Ms. Catia Bastioli of Novamont.

Venice will provide you with an excellent business opportunity and also the time to experience the great Italian culture and hospitality.
