HOUSTON, TEXAS - February 20, 2004 -The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) has announced the speaker's program for its 45th annual general meeting in Warsaw, Poland, 17-20 May 2004, James L. McGraw, IISRP Managing Director & CEO, has announced.
"The Synthetic Rubber Industry…Shaping the Future" will be the theme of the meeting, which will consist of two general sessions. At the first general session on 19 May, Mr. Enrico Pavoni, President of Fiat Poland will deliver the keynote address. Other Session I speakers will include:
- Professor Jacek Kijeński of the Industrial Chemical Research Institute will be speaking on the state of the Polish and Central European Synthetic Rubber Industry.
- In addition, Valentin Sazykin, President of Synthezkauchuk will give an overview of the Russian Synthetic Rubber Industry.
On 20 May former Polish Prime Minister, Jan Krzysztof Bielecki who is now President & CEO of Bank Pekao S.A. will be the featured speaker. Other session speakers will include:
- Arved Teleki, CMAI Consultant, who will provide a global economic overview.
- Tom Trowbridge, Baker & Botts and Counsel to the IISRP will speak on the various anticompetitive laws in the major economic regions.
- Dr. AFS Budiman Secretary General of the International Study Rubber Group will speak on the factors influencing the demand/supply of Natural Rubber.
The IISRP is an international not-for-profit trade association with 45 corporate members domiciled in 21 countries who produce 90-percent of the world's supply of synthetic rubber. Incorporated in 1960 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Institute supports Section offices in London and Tokyo.
