HOUSTON, Texas USA- 14 January 2005- The IISRP and its financial cosponsors, the American Chemistry Council, American Petroleum Institute and the Health Effects Institute have announced an International Symposium on the “Evaluation of Butadiene and Chloroprene Health Risks”. The 2½-day symposium will take place at the Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina, USA on 20-22 September 2005.
“This is the fourth time the IISRP has been privileged to coordinate the symposium,” said James L. McGraw, Managing Director and CEO. He also noted the US EPA, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)Japan) are cosponsors of the international event. Six speaking sessions are planned plus a final day panel discussion in addition to a poster session. McGraw said he expects there to be some 30-35 scientists to present their research on the two monomers.
