HOUSTON, Texas USA-9 November 2005- James L. McGraw, Managing Director & CEO of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, Inc. (IISRP) has announced the election of LG Daesan Petrochemical, Ltd. as the newest synthetic rubber producer to join the IISRP. The announcement comes as the IISRP Executive Committee concludes their 2005-2006 Mid-year meeting.
The Company, headquartered in Seoul, Korea, produces solid NBR, SBR and BR at its manufacturing site in Central Korea.
“The IISRP is very happy to gain our second member from Korea,” said Mr. McGraw, who recently met with LG Daesan senior management in an effort to recruit their membership.
Mr. Bahn Suk Kim, President and CEO, will become LG Daesan’s Director Representative to the IISRP and will also serve on the Board of the IISRP’s Far Eastern Section.

The IISRP is an international not-for-profit trade association with 41 corporate members, domiciled in 20 countries, who produce 90 percent of the world's supply of synthetic rubber. Incorporated in 1960 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, the Institute supports section offices in London and Tokyo.
